Press Release
And on and on...
Hey all! Again, it's been a while but... What can I say? No excuse I must admit. But I'm here now, so all is not lost!
We've been really busy this last wee while! With the ongoing Alan R Davison album, designing guitar pedals, teaching, building the new website, the Loch Stock tour 2011 and touring europe with the Monster Moto GP entourage it's been frantic!
The Deadly Winter's are going from strength to strength too, with rave reviews and plenty of airtime across the country - including airtime on Radio 1! - their bitter/sweet melancholic pop-folk/acoustica seems to be going down a storm!
Of course, our guest this weekend is no stranger to Radio 1. With numerous top 10 credits to his name, Nathan Connolly (guitarist in Snowpatrol) flew in from LA to lay down guitar parts for several songs, and he very kindly donated a couple of guitar pedals to the studio while he was here too!
We're also involved in a series of gigs being held at The One Below in Edinburgh. Run by Keith Easton these events have been a showcase of the best in Scottish music, and Friday was no exception! Mike Bailey opened the night with a set of beautifully crafted songs, delivered with a passion and a cheeky smile! Following on from Mike, Aerials Up delivered a set of their specific brand of folk rock with gracious aplomb! A most excellent way to spend an evening, I can thoroughly recommend enjoying an evening of music with Keith at The One Below!
Meanwhile... The intrepid Mr Clyne has been travelling Europe with Monster for the Moto GP season. I can't say too much about it, but that's he's busy and hanging out with all those pretty girls you see on TV. Hows that for no fair?!
Catch you all soon!

Hum-de-dum-dum!
Well... It's been a busy 2011 so far for us!
As of today we are wrapping up The Deadly Winter's debut album, which is due for release on the 8th of April this very year! Find out more about at their website.
While one project draws to a close, another begins! In this case it's Alan R Davison's first solo album. Alan has been playing in bands including Demise, My Radio, Underbelly and The Elements for many years. It's a multi-player project with 3 drummers, several bassists, umpteen guitarists, a mandolin and a Clarsach all on the cards! Check Alan (and his fantastic video blog!) out on facebook.
We have also been working closely with The Identity Parade Arts project, headed up by Keith Easton. The initiative aims to set up a huge space dedicated to the creative arts and local businesses, and will include a large photo studio, a number of practice rooms including a huge 'soundstage', a recording studio (guess who?!), meeting rooms, a Starbucks cafe and more! We are extremely excited about the project, and can't wait to see the doors open! For more information on Identity Parade Arts, or to support Keith, visit their website.
We are in the process of rebranding too, we will now be 'the little rooms', there's already a facebook group here, but there's a website coming shortly too which is at www.thelittlerooms.com.
We have a few other projects going on too, but they are all top secret, so we can't say anything just now.
Back to hectic!

It Begins
Thanks everyone for all your help in the Market Research. The results are in, we know our prices, and we have some meaty discounts lined up!!
But before we make the big release, we need to get onto PSYBT to get some funding for our studio build. Our business plan is pretty much finished, we are just doing the final changes and tweaks. Our financial forecasts (generated from the questionnaire results) are looking promising. And we have both kissed the Blarney Stone for the gift of the gab!
However, to keep you entertained in the meantime, we have a Build Blog. Check it out, see what our plans are, what we've been up to, and what we have just broken!

Market Research Questionnaire
Hey all.
So, in order to secure funding to build our studio, we need your help!
We have just finished writing our market research questionnaire! This asks some basic questions about your band, recording experience, and plans for future recording adventures.
If you head over to http://survey.bonningtonlanestudios.com and complete the survey, then we will be delighted to offer you some rather meaty discounts on our services, whether you want to redeem immediately, or save it until you need it, its a thank you from us for helping Bonnington Lane Studios get off the ground!

And so to business...
Well it's been exciting and busy times at Bonnington Lane Studios, 2010 has proven to be a busy year so far: we've installed Pro Tools HD, taken out a contract on a warehouse, started construction in the warehouse, recorded and mixed a season of Heriot Watt's live events, run live sound for a 3 day long beer festival (it's a hard life!) and recorded an album's worth of new material with Rieser!
For the next few months we're going to be hunkered down with power tools, plasterboard, and timber creating our very own studio facility that will rival the best in Edinburgh but for a fraction of the cost! You can expect to see some pictures of the work in progress here on the website, and an accompanying blog somewhere as yet undeceided...
Laters, kids!
